We know that sliding doors are the best option if you are looking for comfort and efficiency in your home or business, since this type of door allows us easier and faster entry to the space we want.

Likewise, this type of doors help us save our space, what do we mean? Well, sliding doors run on their rails and therefore take up less space than a conventional door, which makes them perfect to be installed in small areas or where we want greater mobility and accessibility.

But when our sliding doors have been working for a while, they may stop sliding in the same way and that is where the question comes, what happened?

Well, let us explain it to you.

The main causes are:

1.Dust accumulation: If your sliding doors are exposed to the environment, it is very likely that over time the rails will fill with dust and other elements from the external environment, causing them to become embedded there, preventing the proper sliding of your doors.

2.Uneven door: After so many uses it may be that your door is uneven, that means that your door is leaning or sticking.

3. Broken glass: When one or both glasses of our sliding door have crashed or have been completely broken, it creates insecurity in us to open the door for fear of hurting ourselves or that a member of our family will get hurt, which is why the door becomes unusable, until the broken glass is repaired with new ones.

4. Lack of lubrication: Our sliding doors can lose lubrication after a certain time, which is why they no longer run properly, get stuck, do not open or squeak when opening or closing.

5. Broken lock: We might think that the lock is not an important part of the mechanism of a sliding door, but the truth is, that it is, since if the lock on our doors is not working correctly we could be forcing our door to open and close, so we are losing our security and privacy.

Now that you know this about your sliding doors, remember that all of these problems can be avoided by maintaining your sliding doors.

Whether you need maintenance or repair of any of these problems, do not hesitate to contact us!

See you next time.
